What Does Grizzly Use?

This is what I use! My sister got me a set like this for Christmas last year, and that's what I've been using ever since to record my podcasts. This is my "official Red Ryder carbine action two-hundred shot range model air rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time." (Jean Sheperd, "A Christmas Story") Want one? Click on the Thingie above. You'll be helping me out, too, natch.

Shownotes

Part 1 -- Employment Wanted

I've been thinking about work.  I'm a telemarketer, and for me, that's a special sort of hell.

Part 2 -- Silly Me

As I've mentioned, I can't always tell if people are kidding me.  Contrary to the impressions some people have, that doesn't mean I'm stupid.  Just a bit trusting maybe, and often confused, certainly.  But not stupid.

Part 3 -- Strange Days Indeed

At Champs, people behaved very strangely to me.  I didn't get angry or upset about it.  It just slid off me, like water off a ducks back, as they say.

And a little bit at the end about money.

Featured from the iDSL: "20 Degrees" from Jeb Nome, on Garage Band.

Theme music from Kevin MacLeod.

Just a little news:  On Podcast Pickle, "The Original Podcast and Vidcast Community," of 9167 podcasts listed:

Grizzly's Growls is 57th of the Top 100 Podcasts;

54th of the Top 100 Audio Podcasts;

and 2nd in the Society category (behind NPR, but they -are- NPR, after all).

Cool, huh?

I owe it all to you, my loyal fans, and my new fans, and my fans who accidentally clicked on the wrong thing in their podcast feeder and can't figure out how to delete my silly little program.  Thank you!

I have no idea how I rate in iTunes; I still use Win98SE, so I can't download the iTunes software, so I can't even look at iTunes.  Hope one of you can tell me.    And there are, naturally, a whole bunch of other feed aggregators, and I dunno how I do on their systems.

Next week, I might be 937th.  But this week is a Good Week!

Part 1 -- A Little Too Big a Celebrity -- Trying to hear people talking to me in noisy places, including the drunk guy who said something about a "stalker."

Part 2 -- Chow Time -- The wine tasting at Champs, and karaoke again.  Meeting another pretty girl.  Ah, the life of a star.

Part 3 -- The Geek in the Corner -- playing with my computer in bars, or reading.  Unusual, but it's something to do.

IDSL Feature, "2 Step" from "$Muny Getta$" on Garageband.

Theme Music from Kevin MacLeod.

I did have a great plan.  Unfortunately, I'd forgotten one important factor.  Oh, well.  Did manage to do two interviews.  Toady, the Karaoke DJ from Champs, and a young fella named Mike.

What's Karaoke like for a guy who can't stand noise or crowds much?

My review of "Billibub Baddings and the Case of the Singing Sword," by Tee Morris.  A hard-boiled detective novel, with a little sex, violence, magic, gangsters, gals, and guns.  And it appears, sequels.  Which is a very good thing.

Featuring "Get Good and Gone," from Owen Poteat -- Get well soon.
And "2 of 7" from "Company Incorporated," which Doesn't Suck.

Too bad the Big 50 Plan didn't work out.  Maybe next year?

Theme music from Kevin MacLeod.  (But watch this space...)
