Thu, 29 May 2008 Amazon: The Biography Of A GrizzlyStories from the Hiber-Nation 2, "Biography of a Grizzly," by Ernest Thompson Seton, Part 1, chapters 2 and 3. Wahb faces tragedy, and meets his enemies -- seemingly everybody. Themes: "Continue Life" and "Sovereign" from Kevin MacLeod. Comments[2] |
Thu, 22 May 2008 By the way, finally got the Story feed, "Stories from the Hiber-Nation," started. Dunno if any of y'all had been looking for that. It's on a separate feed, so you wouldn't see it in the regular stuff.Opinions on making it all a combined feed again? Not sure if I can at the moment; I'm currently working on a special project that requires some separation. But for future reference... Category: podcasts -- posted at: 5:30 PM Comments[0] |
Thu, 22 May 2008 Amazon: The Biography Of A GrizzlyThe beginning of "Biography of a Grizzly," by Ernest Thompson Seton. An old book, but I thought it appropriate for the first show in the "Stories from the Hiber-Nation" feed. Why "Hiber-Nation?' Because I was so proud of thinking of it, of course, even though it doesn't seem to mean anything in particular. It's actually kind of sad in spots, especially if you like bears. Think Bambi with 3-inch claws. Theme: "Continue Life" from Kevin MacLeod. Comments encouraged. Any idea how often I should post these? I've got the first three shows recorded already -- if no one objects, I'm setting them up for every Thursday, at the moment. I can change that later, if you'd like, though... Comments[2] |
Mon, 19 May 2008 I had three different podcasts to finish this weekend. I finished one, barely. And that was a bigger accomplishment than you might expect.Part 1 -- The Dog Ate My Podcast One of the "joys" of ASD is what's called Executive Dysfunction. I want to get it done, I know I can do it well, I understand exactly what to do ... but I can't take that first step. It can seem similar to a lot of things, but it ain't. That first step is a doozy! Part 2 -- Playing for Keeps My review of Mur Lafferty's audiobook, "Playing for Keeps." Definitely worth listening to. Part 3 -- Sorry About That My apologies for letting you down. Again. I'll get 'em done soon. Probably. I hope. Themes "140 Times" from Bob Baldwin, "Sovereign" from Kevin MacLeod. IDSL: "35-494" from Howlround, out of Redwing MN. Comments[0] |
Mon, 12 May 2008 People believe all kinds of things, mostly because other people believe them, too. And then there's the fish.Part 1 - From the Preface "Memoirs of Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds," by Charles Mackay. Part 2 - Fish is Brain Food -- Isn't it? Part 3 - It Gets Worse -- Autism and Fish Part 4 - This is Life -- Seth Harwood's book, Jack Palms II. Part 5 - Stories? Where's my Stories? -- No, really, they're coming soon. IDSL -- Joel Johnson, "3 Seconds." Themes: 140 Times from Bob Baldwin, Sovereign from Kevin MacLeod. Comments[2] |
Wed, 7 May 2008 I had a Badge from Pod-Planet on the site for maybe a week. When I did some searching on Google a while ago, though Google contended their site "may harm your computer." Google seems to think they have malware on their site. I wouldn't know. Anyway, the Badge is gone and stays gone till someone convinces me to put it back. Seems unlikely. Too much crap on the web these days. Nobody can really keep track of it. I'm about ready to quit the whole business. Category: general -- posted at: 6:22 PM Comments[0] |
Sun, 4 May 2008 Probably the most brilliant podcast ever recorded. Not. But busy, busy, busy! Still limping, but more quickly now. And soon to be a member of A.A.R.P. (sigh)Part 1 - Ingredients What alla them extra coffee cups are for. Part 2 - Jack Wakes Up My review of Seth Harwood's Podiobook novel. Not the new one, his first, that everyone's already heard. But I liked it. Part 3 - History A recap of the flurry of activity around Episode 56, "Duluth!" especially on PerfectDuluthDay. The fun discussion of Episode 55, "Grizzly Goes Wild!" MySpace URLs. Cameras. A voice comment from Matt Selznick, and a promo for his re-started podcast, "Sonitotum." IDSL feature, "3" from "Conditioned Response." Themes: "140 Times" from Bob Baldwin, and "Sovereign" from Kevin MacLeod. Comments[2] |
