What Does Grizzly Use?

This is what I use! My sister got me a set like this for Christmas last year, and that's what I've been using ever since to record my podcasts. This is my "official Red Ryder carbine action two-hundred shot range model air rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time." (Jean Sheperd, "A Christmas Story") Want one? Click on the Thingie above. You'll be helping me out, too, natch.

Shownotes

Spent the weekend trying to get this done, and Hiber-Nation done, and what did I accomplish?  Exactly nothing.
That nasty political issue that I've been so depressed about, a big part of the problem leading to "executive dysfunction."  As far as you know.

IDSL Feature: "64th Time" from American Rust.

My conclusions about Vachel Lindsay, and why that's gonna be what it's gonna be.

Just cause I can: "Chocolate Rain" from Tay Zonday.

And finally, an honorable mention of The Raventones' new album, "Fledgeling."  It's probably better than I've thought so far.  Maybe cause it's different from what I've liked before?

Ending tune: "Starstruck Enterprise" from The Raventones.

Theme: "Human Beat" from Kevin MacLeod.

I keep forgetting, because it doesn't get used.  But if you didn't know, there is a Yahoo Group for Grizzly's Growls, Hiber-Nation, and Life and Times.  The group is at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/grizzlysgrowls/.

I think I set things up so the group receives all postings from the Blogs, including new show episodes.  Sure tried, anyway.  We'll see if it works.

Feel free to stop by.  The hope would be that you'd discuss amongst yourselves, and maybe I'd get a better idea what you'd enjoy.  Most of the podcasts have forums set up on their websites, and I'd suppose, since you stay on their websites, you spend more time looking at the ads.  I don't have any forums, just this.

Thank you for your support, and your patience.

As Janis Joplin put it, "Why sleep?  Might miss a party!"

Part 1 -- The Leopard and the Ethiopian

Okay, this classic, old book has the N-word in it.  So that's the way I'll read it.  Oh, well.

Part 2 -- Excuse the Mess

Three blogs, two podcasts, six RSS feeds ... Getting overwhelmed by too many media options, and confusing everybody else, too.

Featured: "Human Beat" from Kevin MacLeod -- yes, that Kevin MacLeod.

Part 3 -- So, What Else is New?

Getting interviewed for "UTalkin2Me" podcast.  Sounding arrogant, maybe?

IDSL Feature: "64 Chevy" from Chavi.

Themes: "140 Times from Bob Baldwin, "Continue Life" from Kevin MacLeod.

Amazon: The Biography Of A Grizzly

Stories from the Hiber-Nation 6: "Biography of a Grizzly," by Ernest Thompson Seton, Part 3, Chapters 1 through 4.  The story ends the way stories end.

Themes: "Continue Life" and "Sovereign" from Kevin MacLeod.

UPDATE!!!!!

Started fiddling with things again.  So I moved a couple things around on the website, and I made one small change in the way one of the feed addresses work.  Shouldn't affect many people.

Here's the way things stand with the feeds, as of now:

Grizzly's Growls Podcast Only feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/ggpo

Story-only feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/grizzlysgrowlsstory

Everything feed: http://grizzly.libsyn.com/rss OR http://feeds.feedburner.com/grizzlysgrowls

That Everything feed is the one really affected.  It used to be podcast-only, and now it's Everything.  So, if you want -only- the podcasts, you might wanna change to ggpo.

If you're currently receiving what you want, you probably don't need to change anything.  The Everything feed gets more stuff, not less, podcasts -and- stories both.

So, if you wanted Everything, you may want the Everything feed.  And you may not; using both the other feeds does the same thing (at the moment).

Also, the "Everything feed" will end up including any other new shows I start (not planning any at the moment), and may, briefly, include that experimental series I'm developing for the local non-profit.

And you never know, I might actually start new stuff.  Video's all the rage among the young people, now, ain't it?  ;-)  The web page looks a bit confusing, since that shows Everything, too.  But I'm using the tools I have.  And this is how my current tools work out.

If there's anything I haven't explained well enough, send me an email or comment on the website.

Thanks for your patience.
