Discussing the promos on Bloodthirsty Vegetarians, The Dawn and Drew Show, Hypernonsense, Shawnogram, Inside My Head, Erkpod, Sonitotum and CrimeWAV -- so far. No shame at all, huh? Four voice acting roles. My new Pop filter. Tune: "Bears in the City," from TR Kelley and "Babes with Axes" from their Live Axe album. Part 2 -- Exciting New Stories! Tue, 23 December 2008 K7 Comment Line: 206-350-6909"The Symbol and the Saint," from "Christmas Tales and Christmas Verse," by Eugene Field, published in 1912. A very pretty story I found. I'm using this as an Audio Christmas Card this year. Don't have much money, but I do have blank CDs! Best wishes for a joyous holiday season, whatever holiday you celebrate! And here's to better times in the coming year. All Music from Kevin MacLeod. Comments[0] |
Mon, 22 December 2008 K7 Comment Line: 206-350-6909The long awaited Episode 80. Cue the fireworks. Part 1 -- Starting at the Beginning Incoherent rambling about numbers. Wind thingies. Popping sounds. Stuff about having more stuff. I like Pie. Part 2 -- Christmas Gifts I got a nice compliment from Spider Robinson after commenting on his podcast, "Spider on the Web." I think. I don't always understand people, though. Part 3 -- Young Junius My review of Seth Harwood's new audiobook, on Podiobooks.com, and on his own site. By the way, Seth's first novel "Jack Wakes Up" will be released on Amazon on May 9, 2009. You can pre-order, if you'd like... Amazon: Jack Wakes Up: A Novel Themes: "Hot Swing" and "Continue Life" from Kevin Macleod. IDSL Tune: "A Tiger Dancing" from Heiruspecs on Garageband.com, and on their new site. Comments[0] |

Amazon: The Best Laid Plans: A Novel Part 2 -- Chasing the Bard My review of Phillipa Ballantine's book, "Chasing the Bard." Wonder what Pip will think... Amazon: Chasing the Bard Part 3 -- A Little Good News I signed up for this Voice123.com thing, that might get me voiceover work. And might not. I might also be in an audioplay, doing some voice acting. And might not. Life is so confusing. And Finally... IDSL Tune: "A Statement" from HC Fragile. Themes: "Hot Swing" and "Continue Life" from Kevin MacLeod. |
Wed, 10 December 2008 Part 1 -- It's Not My JobAs of February, my employers are leaving town and I'm losing my job. And I'm terrible at job hunting. Still have to do it. Many Grizzlies acquire a taste for beef and mutton, and make names for themselves. One becomes the Monarch of the Plain, worth a King's ransom. Theme: Pachelbel's "Canon in D" performed by Owen Poteat. Comments[0] |
Mon, 1 December 2008 Amazon: SPITE (Jonny C Mysteries)Amazon: Serve It Cold Part 1 -- Ensemble Finished Ronnie Blackwell's book, "Spite," in PDF form. Good book, with a notable "ensemble" cast of characters. Wouldn't be a Johnnie C Mystery without the whole community. Lots of ensembles in fiction these days, I think. Part 2 -- A Very Different Time Since I can only record what I'm allowed to, I read lots of old stuff. Some of that old stuff expresses old racial attitudes and stereotypes. What can I do? And Finally... A player of ME! reading them Seton books on the E.T. Seton Institute's website? Cool! Maybe I'm just as good as I claim to be? Remarkable how humble I remain, ain't it. Shoutouts to: Jen & Shawno from "Inside My Head," "Shawnogram," and "Hypernonsense." Mer from "Braindouche!" Erk et. al. from the Erkpod Collective. Rich & John from "Bloodthirsty Vegetarians."
