What Does Grizzly Use?

This is what I use! My sister got me a set like this for Christmas last year, and that's what I've been using ever since to record my podcasts. This is my "official Red Ryder carbine action two-hundred shot range model air rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time." (Jean Sheperd, "A Christmas Story") Want one? Click on the Thingie above. You'll be helping me out, too, natch.

A round table of PR and non-PR podcasters, discussing how podcasters in general can benefit from PR; both techniques and knowledge, and participation in projects to benefit PR clients. Including:

Terry Fallis, David Jones and Martin Waxman from "Inside PR," and

Shel Holtz and Neville Hobson from "For Immediate Release: the Hobson & Holtz Report"

Forgot I'd mentioned Shel's Webinar thingie, "Tactical Transparency," related to the book, I see.

Thanks to everyone for participating.  It's not that bad for my first effort at a live show!

Theme "Hot Swing" and incidental music from Kevin MacLeod.

End music from Natalie Brown, "Around the World."

Episode 99?  Already?

Part 1 -- Eden

My review of Phil Rossi's new Podiobook, with the Promo, and with a bit of a rant on Space Travel.

Part 2 -- Comments

A comment from Mer from the Braindouche! podcast.

Promo: for Kimi Alexandre's "Guardians" novel podcast.

Part 3 -- Metamor City

Just finished listening to Chris Lester's novel, "Making the Cut," released on his Metamor City podcast feed.  Huge cast, lots going on there.  With the Promo.

From TheFUMP: "99 Words For Boobs" -- closest I could come to the song I wished I could play for my 99th.  Oh, well.

Part 4 -- Nina Kimberly the Merciless Held Hostage!

My take on the recent release of Christiana Ellis' novel in Dead Tree Edition from Amazon.  With the (belated) promo.  Still worth getting one.  Oh, and if you can't wait for your hard copy, you can get a PDF copy of "Nina Kimberly The Merciless" here.

Part 5 -- Young Junius

Also just listened to the end of Seth Harwood's prequel to "Jack Wakes Up," the latter now being available in large-press dead tree form.  With the Promo.

Part 6 -- Ida

An older Podiobook from Tim Callahan, who more recently produced the three "Arwen" books I reviewed a while back.  Worth a listen.  Yet another Promo.  (Sensing a pattern here?)

Part 7 -- What am I Up To?

My current projects, including "Flatland," both on Hiber-Nation and on Podiobooks (did ya like the promo, by the way?), and Episode 100 "Cui Bono," coming up next weekend, Sunday May 24 at 10:00 am Central, live on BlogTalkRadio.  I'm excited, and rather nervous about that.

And Finally...

A bit more on "Cui Bono," with the call in number for the live show, and a reminder of the comment line.  Always nice to hear from y'all.

Theme: "Hot Swing" from Kevin MacLeod.

IDSL: "Adrenaline" (featuring Julian Spindell) from JWitt out of Saint Paul Minnesota.

My interview with Kimiko Alexandre, host of the "Tale Chasing" podcast about writing Urban Fantasy, about her upcoming podcast novel project, "Guardians."

Two things to keep in mind: this is the first interview I've attempted since High School (see Episode 97).  Be gentle!  And I have a minor role in the podcast myself.  Kimi was a sweetheart to interview, very patient with me.

The first episode of Guardians should be available around May 22.

Theme "Hot Swing" from Kevin MacLeod.

Wanted to share with you my new promo for the Podiobooks.com release of "Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions," available now!  Of course, if you're already listening to "Stories from the Hiber-Nation," you'll be getting the rest of the book soon, anyway.

I'm wondering if the Promo isn't a bit better than the book.

Best get to work on the rest of the recording!

Part 1 -- Celebrity Revisited

What possible excuse could I have for referring to myself as a Social Media Celebrity?

Promo: Christiana Ellis' "Nina Kimberly the Merciless" is coming out in Print from Dragon Moon Press on May 15!  And have you checked out "Christiana's Shallow Thoughts" yet?

Part 2 --  Not That Big a Deal

Got this swell Callburner software for recording Skype interviews.  Now I just gotta get the nerve to actually try interviews again.

Part 3 -- I've Got a Comment!

Got a comment on the K7 line, from Shawno of the Shawnogram and HyperNonsense podcasts (Hi Jen!) regarding that Land Rover #LRNY discussion last time.

TheFUMP:  "Take It To the Bank" from Project Sysiphous of The Funny Music Project.  Ripped from the Headlines!

Part 4 -- Serving Worlds

Discussion and Promo from John Mierau's "Serving Worlds" podcast story collection.

And Finally...

Theme: "Hot Swing" from Kevin MacLeod.

IDSL: "Adore" from Alva Star off GarageBand.
